Hi,
I've just joined because I'm by no means an expert gardener, but figured I could get some tips and help here when needed. Also, I'm trying to find out what a certain plant is. I have a picture to post if I can figure out how to do so! The flower looks sort of orchid-like and it has a pod that you can burst to get seeds. Can anyone help me figure out what this is?

Hello there and welcome!!! 
So pleased you've joined us here at GardenStew and I hope we'll be able to help ID your mystery plant for you. Could you tell us how tall it grows, what colour of flowers it has and what the leavea are like? It's quite hard to guess exactly what it could be so a photograph would be very helpful.
