I have to take 9 pills every morning when I get up. Since they have to be taken with food, I usually have 2 cookies with them. Well this morning the cookie jar was empty. So I opened the lower cabinet door to get a package of them. When I went to starighten up, I felt a twitch in my lower back. It didn't hurt so thought nothing of it. About an hour later I could barely move my lower back hurt so bad. About 11 am I finally gave in and went to the emergency room. I am having muscle spasms in my lower back. May have even tore a muscle they said. So now I am on muscle relaxer and pain killers. It's a little better now. He said not much activity for 5 days. Watch out for them chocolate chip Cookies!

Wow, you ought to sue the cookie company for not including a warning label on their cookie-package to let you know - might pay for the med bills.
Hope your back is better soon, and your cookies are more on the level.

Oh dear CK I hope those spasms ease off as there's nothing worse than back pain. I guess now the nine tablets a day have increased somewhat!!

A week of muscle relaxers every 8 hrs. and vicodin every 4 hours made it all better. Of course I slept about 23 hrs. a day, but my back didn't bother me! It's pretty much back to normal. The only pain I have now is in my hip where I had it replaced 3 years ago. I had fallen and broke the left one and they replaced the ball part of it. When it's really damp or damp and cold the artheritis gets to aching. Almost like the titanium joint needs oil or something. But Tylenol seems to help most times.
