I started some cosmos from seed in a make-shift greenhouse this Spring & transplanted them in late April. A couple of them have gone crazy & tall, thick stem like a big sunflower and not blooming at all. My wife accused me of planting "nuked" carrots. What would make the cosmos do such a thing?

(Will post photo later.)

I had that happen last year, glad I'm not the only one. The giant ones never did bloom, got about 8 ft. tall though.
