My tomatoes and peppers are growing steadily. My cantaloupe is full of blooms and growing well, but no sign of any fruit until this morning. As I was watering, I noticed a small melon about the size of a baseball. I am so excited. I just hope I can keep it alive until it is ready to pick. I feel like I just gave birth.LOL

Congrats, it is like giving birth isn't it.
Are you growing a Pecos or another type? I have never tried them, just not enough room for ground vines.

Oh you must show us some piccies of your new baby!!!! Then we'll expect weekly updates of the progress it makes. It really is exciting to find unexpected fruits isn't it? I have just eaten my first two black, cherry tomatoes and they were sooo sweet and delicious - much better than anything bought from a store.

I have 2 Watermelons and 2 Cantaloupes that are about the size of a tennis ball. I WILL beat the mice to them this year!
