Last year I did my first hypertufa planter. I hit a good sale on succulents the other day so I "planted it up"

This is my chicken (I didn't make this one) with Hen and Chicks, but thought it to be the perfect planter for the H&C.....(I did make the small hypertufa behind it)

Here is my other Hen and Chicks lol

I love the textured look of the two planters you made yourself - somehow they are just so much nicer than store bought ones. Just as well you didn't plant the real hen and chicks as they might have been a bit upset!!! Laughing Laughing

Lovely containers, desertflower. It's nice with that personal touch. I like your feathery friends too.

I am a succulent fan and think they look great in your planters!

Thanks guys. I want to make some more pots now so they will be ready to plant in next spring. They are so easy but just a matter of mixing up the concrete. Once I get started I hate to quit. But for some reason, seems like every time I start it starts raining. The texture is made but using a very stiff wire brush. I made a huge pot once but it looks like a stone tire and I don't like it.
