|
These ladies were down at the end of my lane yesterday morning .I have no clue where they came from. They were making so much noise you couldn't hear yourself think.I was trying to figure what they were looking at to get so excited.
There is 2 Peacok hens.I hope you can see them well enough.
She is thinking about getting out of here and moving around she blurred my picture and then I notice a yellow patch off to the right.Yep you guessed it dear Scrappy (the bird eater is all slumped down waiting to pounce .I wish he had pounced as those old girls would have taugh him a lesson he wouldn't forget soon .
I hope you can see Scrappy on the prowl.
Cheyenne called me a few mins ago to let me know the Peacok hens were back.
I got a little better pictures of them today.Cheyenne called to let me know they were near my compost bin by the time I got out they were leaving.
I got these as they went.Scrappy in know where to be seen.He probably got his lesson yesterday.
I love their top knot on their head.
They look real blurry on my computer I hope not on yours.

Glenda you have so much going on in your garden!! Just imagine looking out of your window and seeing those elegant (but noisy) peahens. I wonder where they came from? Maybe they escaped from somewhere or somebody released them deliberately. Are there only the two?
I hope they taught Scrappy a good lesson about not chasing birds!!

How neat to find them near your house! Do they eat bugs?

I'm glad our Lord Paint wasn't there. He brings home sea gulls, so I'm sure he would have tried on one of those lovely birds too. They are elegant, I think.

DH & I were looking for rural property years ago, in the middle of nowhere, and heard what sounded like a woman screaming, we were about to go find a telephone when we spotted a peacock that had escaped from somewhere! Do the hens scream like that too?
Ya know, only the classiest estates of yesteryear had these strolling the grounds, I think you should take it as a compliment!
