Hi everyone. I have a garden in our backyard and it has so many vines crawling. But my problem is... when I was removing the vines, there are medium sized caterpillars that have thick hair. Many said that it may cause allergy. What kind of pest is that? It also eats the leaves on the vines. Please help me. What's that insect? How to control it?

Could you please take some pictures of the caterpillars for us? All butterflies and moths are caterpillars in the beginning and many that are just caterpillars, so there is really no way of knowing what type of caterpillar you have without pictures.
Most caterpillars around here will eat certain plants before they create their chrysalis and become butterflies or moths. I gave three Rue and two Fennel plants to caterpillars this year and ended up with dozens of Black Swallowtail butterflies in exchange.
Sometimes you have to plant extra in order to keep those beautiful creatures in our gardens.

No. It is not a flower thingy. It is a vegetable. It is something like a... sweet potato vine. It has been attacked with several moth caterpillars. It is small, and it dropped into my foot. I don't have a picture because we eliminated our vines because of ultra infestation on those caterpillars. They are medium sized caterpillars, looked like a yellow millipede and has so many long hairs. It looks scary for me and it crawls so fast.
