I dont know how to post a pic here but I will try my best to discribe it. I think it is a catcus and it is a house plant. it has a pod type thing that just appeared in the past few days that is shaped sorta like the blooms on a lantern plant. if anyone wants to see the pic, please email me and I would be glad to send it. I really want to know what it is. thanks

Hi littlejo, if you have difficulty posting the photo (it's pretty easy when you know how) you can email it to the email address at the bottom of the site and I'll post it up for you.

Welcome littlejo. Stew Face 1

Your plant is one of the species of Stapelia, often called "Carrion Flower",
because the flowers - tho' quite exotic looking - are quite stinky,
as the plant relies on flies for pollination.

Wow, what a fascinating cactus! The flower is rather exotic looking. It almost looks textured.

Nice plant.

I've wanted one of these for a while but the closest I have is an orbea variegata.
