Why do we not have the use of smilies Smile in our blogs?

I may have missed seeing it...but if not, could we have a 'lady bug' smilie?

Leave it to me... always wanting or needing something Exclamation

Since no one has replied to this post, especially Frank, does that mean it was a dumb question to ask?

Nah Mr. Green Frank prob'ly just overlooked your question
I'll bet he shows up with an answer, in just a bit.

I don't know the whys - but since I'm extremely smiley dependent,
I use smileys from my "personal collection" in my original blog posts
Wink I keep a photobucket album full of the little guys . . .

. . . but I don't think even those can be used in replies to blogs Confused
so then I resort to the good old keyboard.:-}

Not a dumb question KG, it is more for a technical reason that they are not there. Since I coded the blog software from scratch and I wanted to make it as lightweight and fast to develop as I could I omitted the smilies.

Also I feel the forums are more suited for the smilies than blogs. I'd like new visitors not to get confused between the two features.

Hope this answers your question,
Frank
