Hello,
Here is another unkown moth photographied within our cedar hedge in Sherbrooke, Quebec (near Vermont) last July...
Any idea about the family, genum and specied???

It a hummingbird moth.I have one on here kind of like it and some have a beak like snout.

Glad you've found out what kind it is, pilonm! Can't say as that I'm a big fan of moths, but that's a great shot of it! It's kind of pretty, really.

Strange this as this little moth has come to my attention over the last few weeks ,there was a question on one of my soccer forums and last night on TV (programme about wildlife in the British Isles)it showed up again apparently it appears in the south quite a lot.
beautiful photo by the way and beautiful moth too.

Hello all and thank you for your answers and nice comments about my picture...
Finally I identified it:
It is a moth from the Tortricidae family called CHORISTONEURA conflictana (Large aspen tortrix)...
