2 grass seed mixes look intriguing, but expensive. Both are (i.e. -- claim to be) "deep-rooted" and therefore need less watering.

1 is Eco-Lawn from Wildflower Farm:

These are mostly Fescue mixes, I think. Are these mixes actually deeper-rooted than something cheaper that I could buy locally? All insights and info welcome.
