Well, I think the apparent shine is due to the sun setting and sort of illuminating the blooms from behind. When I took the photos with my cheap camera, I wondered how it would look, but I am pleased.

your hibiscus are very pretty. The photography makes them like post cards, or could even be used as an screensaver picture. Very well done.
