Hi, I am new here. I am a product design student at Virginia Tech and have recently entered a design of mine into an online competition. The design deals with the collection of rainwater and different watering processes. As avid gardeners, you should provide the best feedback! So check it out...

Hi Bramsuer,
Brilliant design for a rain collector!!
Very nice looking illustrations also. If your looking for input, I would like to suggest a scaleable system, so that several units could be cascaded together when the first unit is full. Maybe a float valve, with a pushrod up to the top, triggering a diverter, and into the top of the next unit?
Easy to say, harder to DO...

Good Luck!!
