These 3 plants were all one about 2 weeks ago, before I divided them. Since then I've read that they should be divided in the spring.

this one is the best of the 3

These next 2 are not doing so well.
especially the last picture. The leaves are curling up. Can anybody help me as to why this my be happening, so that I can save my plant.

Petunia, I don't know for sure that it will help,
but Confused I'd cut at least half of the older leaves off of your plants,
at least the ones that are looking sad.

The curled foliage indicates stress, and it may be that there is too much "plant"
for the root divisions to support.

Whenever I divide plants, I always reduce the foliage signicantly,
to balance out the amount of root damage/loss, that occurs when dividing.

I want the plant to be able to spend it's energy growing a strong new root system first,
then it can begin to fill out above soil level.

Thanks Zuzu for the advice.Anything is worth a try. I do hate it when my plants leave me, especially if I knew I could help them. I'll have to repost and let you know how they have come along.
