Hi

Is there anyone with black hollyhock seeds to give away or just to send some flowers and a few leaves. My mom needs it for medical reasons. If no one has I guess I'll have to grow.

Thank u

Hollyhocks do not flower until their second year of growth so finding seeds at this time of the year will not produce any flowers and leaves for use until summer after next.

You should find an herbalist in your area who can determine if hollyhock is the treatment your Mom needs. If it is, they will have the dried leaves and flowers for her use and perscribe the appropriate dosage.

Thank u for responding. I have search high and low to find an herbalist with the dried leaves, but I have not been successful. But I'll keep trying.
Thank u.

I have plenty of hollyhock seeds to share. Heirloom black and yellow or mixed. I also have Indian Summer Hollyhocks which DO bloom prolifically the first year they're planted and come back every year after. These are in pastel shades. I'm in New England, as are you, so if you still need any email to let me know what you're after.

Happy Gardening!

Good Evening;
I have a deep burgundy hollyhock, is that what you are calling black? I am not sure if I cleaned that garden this year, I may be able to find a stalk but the leaves would be pretty sad looking now as they have been in the elements for three months. Is is worth my looking? I am also in New England. Please let me know if you want me to try. diene
