I planted some petunias for the winter and I am in MS. This will be my first try at keeping them through the winter. But MS State University in Starkville, have tons of petunias in bloom through out the winter. Enjoy gardening and enjoy life.

Pepper I'm from Michigan. The only way I've kept my annuals such as Petunias, begonias, even nasturiums is that I keep them in a 60 degree greenhouse. We've already had 3-4 nites of frost so they'd be gone by now if I would have left them in the garden. This way I can enjoy my flowers all winter long.

Hi from Eastern Canada. I brought a few petunias indoors one fall, and was surprised how well they did over winter. They need as much sun as possible, and don't seem to mind the cool temps on a winter window-sill. They didn't bloom as fully as they had ouside, but kept up a slow steady show, and every blossom was enjoyed & appreciated against the wintery background !

Seattle, Washington is a very mild area, so some of our petunias are slill blooming. I think we'd be getting more blooms if I hadn't stopped deadheading them a couple of months ago. Next year I'll know how long they can last, I'll keep deadheading them as long as they keep blooming, and we'll see how long that is.
