Halloween's been pretty boring this year. For us, anyway. A few parties, but they were about an hour away, so we decided against it. I'm not even sure if we'll hand out candy. We're not exactly near alot of houses, so it's really not prime candy-gathering territory. We did get a pumpkin to carve Very Happy just because the child in me wanted to.
Anyone going out trick-or-treating or have something else planned?

We're doing nohing special as our kids have all grown up and left home now. Sad No-one around here has small children that go trick or treating so it'll just be another ordinary night.

We will have lots of kids ringing the doorbell tomorrow night, our neighborhood is crawling with them Stew Face 1 Plus some of the apartment complexes where most of the residents are low income will bring kiddos here too, but there have been fewer of them over the past few years since the majority of our neighbors no longer turn their lights on for trick or treaters.

In the non-wood buring stove in the living room there are a dozen black candles and I have that pan I decorated with the halloween poem filled with as many as it will hold, those will all be burning after dark, lights in the window. We will be watching our favorite 'witchy' movie...Kiki's Delivery Service and maybe Practical Magic...while eating gingerbread and drinking hot apple cider and handing out candy.

We've re-stocked our candy-supply, and I've rooted out the horrible wig I always wear to scare trick-or-treaters and innocent passers-by that happen to ring our door bell. The orange costume was thrown away after I used it in a dressage show. The girls are prepared for their evening, scary effects are all in place.

Got plenty of candy on hand, I'll assemble the treat bags some time this evening.

I'll decorate the courtyard for trick-or-treaters, as I always do. Mr. Green
Dunno if we'll get many, being it's on a school night, tho'.

This year it will be a spooky cemetery scene with homemade headstones
and skeletons and ghosts haunting the place, scary sounds playing in the background.
Last year it was a kooky witch that hubby named "Psycho Delia".

I'm working in the morning, so I'll teach my water aerobics classes
to fun Halloween-y music, like Monster Mash, Werewolves of London,
Ghost Busters, The Time Warp, etc.

I've just put the finishing touches on a bunch of these yummy bloodshot eyeballs
to take to class for treats along with cider.

Mr. Green Sure Droopy,
It tickles me just to imagine a conversation about that topic. Laughing

My 4 year old is so excited about halloween this year! She had her very first Halloween party at school today (Junior Kindergarten) and has her costume ready for tomorrow. We will go out while Daddy hands out candy - we only get 7 kids at our door.

Thank you Zuzu, it's well and truly nicked.

I got a scolding for not showing her before, because she won't have time to make any today. Hopefully the idea will keep until next year.

Being out in the country and a 1/4 mile lane, we never have anyone. Our neighbor up front might bring his 8 yr old daughter back. In 25 year of living here we have had 2 trick or treaters. One year a neighbor brought his son back and one year we had a young rocoon at the front door. Another watch tv and fall asleep in the recliner!
