I feel for you folks, really. Winter can already be long enough without it starting in early November. I live in North Idaho about 115 mi south of Canada. To get an idea of how far North I live you can go to this web site:

Anyway, today it is 46 degrees and raining.
I know there are those of you who can't wait for winter, but for me...I'll wait as long as I can and hope it doesn't stay too long.
This morning I woke up to a fresh 1" of pure white snow on the ground in Wisconsin. This is the first measurable snowfall in this part of the state. This past year we had an exceptionally early and mild Spring, a perfect summer, (although we needed a bit more rain), and a very long, warm Fall. In Fact the Locust tree still has leaves that are now wieghed down by the fresh snow. The first snowfall of the year is always so nice to see, it's funny that I'll be ready to see Spring by next week...

We were at a nice 78 degrees yesterday, but today it is very cold about 45 degrees or maybe a little lower. I know that is not cold for northerners but, it kind of chills us southerners. We have on the heater and warm jammies tonight. Hoping for some snow this winter. Some of my latest nieces haven't ever seen snow before.
