Yeah Droopy, I know it is... I was just joking. My bride and I lived in Alaska for five years and when I look at pictures ot Norway, the landscape looks quite similiar, actually. I believe that I would like it there very much.
My interests in Norway began back in the time of Olaf Kos, the speedskater. We really liked him here. Of course there was a great rivalry here during those years, and he often won, but we respected him for his great ability rather than be angry at loosing. Speedskating is really in our blood here.

Thank-you Droopy! I enjoy it, but still have to wait for the 'mood' to hit before I can start a project.

(nodding) I totally agree Wrennie, i have to be in the mood too. with the rosemåling there is so much time involved an sometimes i just put it down an then i have to wait until i feel like it again... but then i am still just learning the art, sometimes i get frustrated because my flow of the brush isn't up to my standards. so then i have to wait again until i feel like it.

your work is very very nice, wrennie,, i like it alot.

Wrennie, those bells are so sweet, and all the rest also. Here's a few things we made and painted for Christmas gifties. Smile
Puzzle Santas

Birdhouse wreath

Small screen with crackle finish

These are clothespin dolls and ornaments. The Santa in the front dances on the tree paddle that is underneath him.

The painting techniques shown are absolutely beautiful. It is amazing that one can find so many talented folks from all over the world at one site. Makes you want to get your passport in order so you can travel and see all the beautiful places that 'our friends' live. I am amazed.... gorgeous work, all of you.

Hi Bethie,

Those are nice-looking decorations. Do you do them for each holiday?

WOW

Penny, Bethie, Wrennie and SuzieQ

What more can I say - you are amazingly creative. Fantastic artwork. If I had just half an inch of your creativity, I would consider myself a Van Gogh.

Marvellous work

I like seeing so many differant projects from so many differant places. Gotta like the nome and the fish on the wall. The old world Santas are great at Christmas time. What an idea of turning clay pots into bells and the paintings on the ornaments-I like the painted reindeer. The birdhouse wreath is a good idea for any time or season. You all do such wonderful work. My applause to you all.

I used to paint a little.
I did watercolours and schetches on my journal pages.
I sometimes wish that I had the time to try my hand at painting flowers. Although the quality of my watercolours aren't professional, they were very relaxing to do. I would think of what I was going to write in my journal as I painted.

Great stuff Sjoerd

You stewbies are so talented. I shy away from painting or even sketching. I never had the time. Now I wish I made time.

It is really great so see/know of so many talented people.
