I saw a Bart Simpson and Scooby Doo and Shaggy chia pet yesterday. I thought my 4 year old would get a kick out of them, but she was with me so I didn't buy one.
She loves Scooby Doo!

Yes Barb they really do grow. Its been a while since I had one. I had one of the originals. I had to soak the seeds then spread them on the next day. Its kept in a water container to keep its moisture. Mine stayed around for quit a while. I'm not for sure, but you can probably also get other herb seeds and spread on it. I do beleive there's a place on the box to send away for more seeds. It was really fun to watch it grow. My youngest also enjoyed watching it grow. Hope this might help anyone who may be planning on getting one.

My kids got it for me for Christmas. I think they got it at a pharmacy store like Riteaide. But you should be able to find them at any K-mart (Walmart), or Meijers store, Target.

I remember buying one of the clappers after we had seen the advertisements years ago. Every time my dog shook close to it , it would shut the TV off. I do think we donated it to a thrift shop..and I do think we tried the chia pet.
I don't have a clue what to get my DH this season. I think I will let him pick his own present. My Mom just wants money and we always give the kids money to buy what they want..that way I am not walking around the stores for hours...

Clapper was funny.
However I had a lamp that you touch to turn it on, and it drove us crazy.. We had it for a great while till we discovered that it was making the radio by the bed ,( have static) it was on all the time in reality .....And the radio was picking up the noise.
Gave it to a sister who had trouble reaching the lamp, old.......and she loves it.
