Does everyone use coupons? I have always been a huge coupon user but now I am just running out of time for clipping them. Sometimes I just clip them and then they get tossed in a drawer when I am clearing off the kitchen table in a hurry. I just can't seem to keep the mail and what my DH brings home from work off of the table. I have a small desk not far from the table but it just doesn't make it there.

I would love to learn how to organize better but sometimes you just don't care. Today I am going to really try and put the coupons in my purse so I have them with me...

How much do you save every time you shop? I don't think the coupons are as good as they used to be...I remember a lot more 50 cents off and 1 dollar coupons years ago.

Some of the stores I go to will not take coupons from the computer that you can print up yourself so if I have to drive farther to use a coupon, it isn't worth it with the price of gas. Years ago I remember going to a couple grocery stores to get the sales...but now if I have to travel across town in my truck, I might as well pay more for the product and save my gas...I really didn't want to drive a truck but my DH has a company car and we really needed a truck when we do household projects and to pick up all the bark and potting soil in the spring. So we sold my little Focus that was very good on gas...one good thing happened...we moved closer to where I usually shop so I do save on gas.

I thought about just tossing the coupons...thinking my time was too valuable to waste time on doing it...but then I start thinking "well, if I can save a couple dollars I will do it".... What do you do?

I keep coupons for the items I regularly use. They go directly into my purse, otherwise I forget them.
I had no idea you could find coupons on line!

When I get them I clip them and put them right in my purse. I don't buy something just because I have a coupon for it, so some get tossed out later. But if i need to get something and happen to have a coupon then there right there with me. A store would have to have a lot of good deals on what I will be getting anyway for me to go out of my way to shop there.

20+ years ago I was a big coupon user. I made a box with dividers to file them in and carried the box to the store with me each trip. I had a 4 drawer filing cabinet for storing labels, box tops, UPC bars and assorted packaging to have on hand when refund offers were issued.
I spent sunday evening going thru the grocery store ads in the paper, making a list of what we used that was on sale at which store and had three stores I went to every other Monday morning. Even had a cooler in the trunk for perishables so I wouldn't have to come home after each store.

I never was one who could buy $200 worth of grocery items and only pay $15 after coupons were subtracted but I did usually save $15-$20 each payday. Gas was a lot cheaper then but also the paycheck was smaller so that savings amounted to a lot at that time.

All of that came to a screeching half not long after Amanda was born, just no time or energy to keep it up. So now I am lucky to remember to put them in the car and even luckier if I remember to take them into the store and I feel estatic if I actually remember to hand them to the checker before she hits the total button. Shocked

We don't have coupons here, at least not that i know of. I've never seen any in the store ad papers.

I only keep and use coupons for the things I actually use on a regular basis. We see plenty in newspapers and magazines but they're rarely for anything that I would find a use for.

I cut them out of the paper or magazines, put them on the fridge with a magnet and rarely remember to take them to the store!

Only occasionally do I come across a coupon I could use. Then I put it on top the tv under the paperweight where it usually quietly expires. Smile I do grocery shop by the ads and save quite a bit that way.

I was under impression that everything converted to club cards! Most grocery stores now have membership, mostly free, that allows you to take part of weekly sales. You don't think your local grocery store has fair prices?
