Was at the store one day and got a pkt of cactus ones and never was disappointed.. Those were seeds I pulled off in 2006......I really enjoy the colors .
It would be a wasted summer without zinnias.

Now the Lilys are in bloom right after the tulips.
Last year my tulips almost all rotted .. Year before they were a sight to behold.........I know I waste lots of $$$$$$$$ on the bulbs.. But the lilys seem to be a sign of purity............Awesome.....

Come spring and I will show off .......

Hee hee hee... that was like a dèjá vu wasn't it.
Isn't that a nice orchid! So pure white. Do you save your orchids year after year?
I like your little "Best Dirt" cushion.

Yes that is a potted orchid. It blooms 2 times a year. I think it is goin on 3 years old now.. I have 6 orchid plants now.. This is the only one large enough to bloom....The blooms last long also.

Do you want some of the pastel zinnia seeds if I can find them? I think I have some?/

I will let you know about those seeds later on in the year. I first have to see how things are going to be this year... I am planning big changes to the flower garden ...and I'm still running possibilities through my head now.
I am considering a "Pink Plot"...or perhaps I should say, a plot with shades of red.
I'll let you know about it.
Congratulations on holding the orchids over. What are the other types that you have?

Dendrobium
Golden showers from Malaysia

I have 3 colors of the white I showed ..One is yellow and one is pink.. Babies yet.
They bloom 2 times a year on the shady side of my kitchen.. Facing North......I hear they prefer a bit of cool weather.

A nice collection. Do you get them at a local garden center there?
We have excellent garden centers here and I like nothing better than spending an afternoon strolling up and down the isles.
There are always a great selection of orchids, but my home is too warm dry for them. But that doesn't stop me from admiring them.
I addes some orchid-like flowers to my flower garden last year and the year before last. They are (to my eyes anyway) beautifil things they have narrow white leaves with purple speckles on them--gorgeous.

There are several stores for flowers , Building supply stores .......Lowes it is called here.
And Walmart store .........I bought the first orchid at walmart.. The others at the Lowes.
2 from a lady in Malaysia.......this year.
They need lots of moisture and slighlt cool temperature.....Mine is right on the window sill.
This one is growing out of a piece of wood..DOnt know what that one will do.. I paid one dollar for that.
I have water under mine all the time.

I look at flowers everywhere I go. Last year I started a Red spot in the yard.......My man loves it .
Salvia and zinnias red ........
I have one bed that is all red zinnias.

I keep changing them around except that bed .. the Humming birds love my salvias.

Take a look at this little beauty.

BTW...how did you like Malaysia? I spent about 4 months travelling around there a few years ago and found it an underated country. Not many travellers were very enthousiastic about it, and did not travel off the beaten path too much...for if they had, they would have had a different opinion, that's for sure.
I got around with the local transportation available in that country and relly enjoyed myself.
I found it interesting and exotic.
Did you try the "ice lemon tea" whilst there? Razz mmmmmm

It is probably closer to you .....Are you retired or what ? You travel so much?
I was in Canada and that is all .
How do you go to those countries? Fly/

bsewnsew - that is the best dejà vú I've had in ages. Lovely colours and great shapes. Your lilies truly are wonderful, and that sweet orchid... That toad lily of Sjoerd's is very nice too.
