Thankfully I'm one of the ones that has almost everything done. Very Happy I hate shopping and the Christmas crowds are certainly no joy - nor are the inflated prices in the shops - so I try to get everything done before December.

We're basically done, but need one or two small shopping trips to finish up. I like to enjoy myself in December, not get a heart attack from daring the crowds.

No matter how early I start, I never finish early Rolling Eyes
I usually continue finding little things right up until Christmas eve.

Oh, Embarassed and, actually, even afterward -
we each exchange 1 more gift on Epiphany, Jan 6,
as that represents the day that the Magi arrived with their famous gifts.

I like to shop early too, but somehow I never completely finish until the week before Christmas. Funny thing is, it's usually the gifts for my in-laws that I have trouble with!

I never like shopping and thus always try to get everything in November already. Everything except for fresh produce which I normally send the children to the shops for.
I am so glad that they also do not really like crowds and shops. - It is just the eldest who likes shopping and always at those big shopping malls where one can lose ones wits if one is not focussed.

Zuzu, that is actually a great idea to exchange gifts by Epiphany. It will give the late shoppers some leeway

Ha! I feel you on not wanting to deal with the shopping lines and parking! A chance to avoid all that and still get shopping done would be great. Does anyone give gift cards for gifts or stocking stuffers?

I buy some presents on the net. Very care free shopping. Unfortunately my husband loves to shop, so he will insist that we go in a couple of times.

After spending most of yesterday driving to three Target stores looking for the camera we want to give one grandson and not finding it and three HalfPrice Book stores looking for the books Lisa wants and only finding 4 of them...we were exhausted and fed up with spending more time in traffic than we did doing the actual shopping. We went early afternoon on a Friday on purpose hoping to avoid the holiday shoppers. We accomplished that, we just forgot how much blasted traffic there is in Dallas at any and all times of the day.
When we got home I did what I should have done to begin with....I ordered the camera and the other books from Amazon.

We have two more gifts to buy, one online and a gift card for a pair of work boots for our son-in-law and then gifts for each other and we will be finished.
And I do believe that next year I will do more online shopping.

Well, there's always one in the crowd and so far it sounds like evryone pretty much has a good start on shopping. I haven't started yet. The closest I've gotten to starting is to looking on e-bay for what I want to get my 9 yr old. But we usually do our 2-3 weeks before Christmas. By this time all the good stuff is gone, so you'd think we would learn. Ah, but this is only the 1st of Dec. maybe we can get a start this next week. Who knows there might be hope for me yet. Smile

Petunia-I haven't started yet either. Well actually, I tried the other day...I was in a store and had a few things picked out. My 4 year old had to go to the bathroom and when I asked to use the bathroom they sent us to another store saying the didn't have one. I was more than a little ticked off, so I left the cart with all my goodies and we left the store. I'm not sure that I will go back there either!
