This time of year is very grey. If the sun's not out it feels like semi-dark. It's not of course. This is what it looks like:

Soooo beautiful. I love mountains in all seasons but especially in winter. I think I must have been a mountain goat in a previous life. Rolling Eyes

I like them best in spring, when I can see the snow withdrawing every day...

Thank you Glenda. It's my favorite mountain, I've probably said so before.

Great shot of a great view Droopy. It's very grey here this time of year too, it's no wonder people get depressed. We were very lucky today to have a half day of sunshine...and I was outside to enjoy every second of it, even if it was a tad cold.

Your countryside is so like Scotland in many ways. A really beautiful photograph Droopy - very atmospheric. Stew Face 1

Thanks for giving a glimpse of your part of the world. I agree that it's a very atmospheric foto...
and quite lovely as well.
Is it a view from a window or did you have to walk to get this shot?
How many hours os light do you have each day now?
I once worked in a place that looked very much like this --Valdez, Alaska.

Thank you all. The mountain sits right outside my window, but I've got power lines across it. This shot was taken ten minutes by car from here.

We've got between six and seven hours now.

A view like that outside the window, a blazing fire in the grate,
and a cup of hot chocolate to sip . . .
I think that could make even a gal with tropical blood (like mine)
feel very, very cozy.

It's magnificent and awe inspiring, Droopy, it truly is!

That is quite an inspiring sight to see. I have to agree with Zuzu even though our climate is more of the Mediterranean type and far from tropic.

I'm glad you enjoy "my" mountain, since you're bound to see more of it as seasons change. Today it was rosy for a while, we had some sun!
