This summer was one of the best for me for watching and photographing butterflies...They aren't the easiest at times to photograph but this one was very cooperative.

Beautiful pictures Sherry. I love sitting out in my backyard and watching the Swallowtails flit around. We were not on the direct Monarch migration path this year so didn't get to see very many.

Great photos Sherry! We had more Monarchs than usual this year and I managed to get a couple of good shots too.

Those are very nice fotos of a monarch butterfly on a cosmea flower. I looked at those fro some time. Butterflies are attractive insects, aren't they? We don't have that many here, so it was a real treat to look at them.
Thanks.

great piccies. I just planted some cosmos this past summer. In the early spring we had some yellow butterflies flying around. The monarchs didn't come till summer, but they're very pretty.

Sherry those are excellent photographs. Very Happy I rarely manage to get decent piccies of butterflies as they tend to flit around the garden much to quickly for me to get good shots of them. Sad

Sherry I love your Monarchs. Butterflies are so nice to watch and difficult to photograph. We normally get Admirals in autumn, but not this year. Too wet and cold. They probably stayed at Sjoerd's...
