I made a necklace for a niece yesterday. It's threaded on wire, with little, pink hearts, some faceted clear pearls and small glass beads in mixed pink and white in between. I like it, and think I'll make one more for my other niece.

Here it is:

The perfect gifts for your nieces Droopy!! I love the one you've already made!! I'm sure the girls will be very proud wearing their necklaces knowing that they were made especially for them and that there's no more quite like them anywhere else in the world. Stew Face 1

Thank you all for nice words. I'll get the other one ready and set my husband to gift-wrapping.

Thank you Biita. I'll make sure he doesn't. Their other present is a book about life in the forest, so he'll have to make some bumps on that.

I thread on a wire clamp, then the lock or ring, and thread the wire back through the clamp and press it shut with my pliers. It sometimes reopens. I've been looking for jewellery glue, thought a small dot of that might secure it properly.

My clamp doesnt reopen, but the thread or wire slide back......Guess i aren't doing it correct.
So I started stringing it with elastic, and tie a know .
I like the bracelets like that .....Gems and elastic.

Thanks barb

Bracelets are best with elastic, I agree. With reopening, I meant sliding back, it's just that the words won't cooperate with me sometimes. Laughing

I press the clamp pretty hard, and cross my fingers that it will hold. Most of the time it will, but I'll still buy the glue once I find it.

Our tree won't be up until December 23. Occasionally a day or two before. It's tradition, I think most Norwegians stick to it.

As for decorations, I've got some all over the entrance and living room. Nothing big or fancy, I'll try to get some nice photos.
