Why do you want to write lussekatt with ü? That's German.

I just put in a teaspoon of the turmeric powder, and it doesn't add any taste that I notice. I'm not very known for a keen taste, by the way. Too much coffee.

Thats the way my mom always spelled it. but then we lived way up north.

I hear ya on the coffee, i drink lots of that all day long! love the stuff.

I'll have to try tumeric when i run outta saffron, there isn't that much left.

A ü sound a lot like y but not quite, so it might have been to emphasize that sound. I don't think the swedish use that specific letter much either. But they do use ö instead of ø. I'm kind of glad I'm not going to learn Icelandic, they've got all these weird characters symbolizing strange vocal sounds.

My mom was born in sweden, was all swedish, but she did live in germany before the war broke out. maybe that is something that carried over. I was born in sweden also, but i didn't speak swedish, i spoke skolt(russian saami) an finnish. when we moved back to sweden i was starting to learn swedish then we moved to america. No wonder i'm mixed up. lol. Icelandic,, no way. I've had enough of languages for a while.
