Here are some of the orchids blooming in my glasshouse now,
Ascocenda ~
Fuchs Gold x Ascocenda Suksamran
This next one is commonly called "Lady of the Night"
her perfume is strong and lovely,
but only noticeable at night or in the early morning hours,
Brassavola nodosa ~
and, with a name quite befitting the season, this one is
Dagmara - Winter Wonderland 'White Fairy' ~
The scent of this flower is rather intriguing,
something like peppered bananas.

The white ladies are gorgeous, I'd love to smell them. I especially like the photo of Dagmara.

ZuZu,these are lovely. You and everyone else must use soil with magic 'dust' in it to be able to grow such beauties.

My orchids are a sad sight compared to yours Zuzu as they are not flowering at the moment. I just hope that I can get them to survive, indoors, during the winter months.
I especially like your White fairy but all your orchids are absolutely gorgeous.

Beautiful Orchids Zuzu. I've never had much luck with them but I think I'll have to try again. I love the White Fairy too.

Zuzu I don't know whether you ever watched Twin Peaks, there was an orchid collector on it. That's what your great photos reminded me of

Many thanks, everyone, I appreciate your kind comments.
Some varieties thrive in the conditions in our glasshouse,
and others don't do very well at all - it's all a learning experience.
Many orchids really aren't demanding at all -
if you can find the right type of orchid for your existing situation,
they are surprisingly care-free.
I thought you might like that "White Fairy",
notice how I saved it for dessert?
Frank, I hadn't thought of Twin Peaks in a long time,
I loved that show!

Gosh Folks...
A couple of you have some quite nice orchids...maybe you ought to put them all together on one thread where we could look back on from time to time.
I don't groe these lovely plants, but I sure do enjoy looking at other people's. ...alot!
Thanks for showing them, zuzuP (and the rest), they are a delight to the eyes.
