The birds are at the bird feeder this morning. It has black oil sunflower seeds in it. There must be 50 to 100 birds on the feeder, the ground and the surrounding trees. It like a shark feeding frenzy at a nude beach! My wife told me I should go out and put more feed in it. But I was afraid that I would be attacked and eaten!

I know just what you mean. Even if it's not raining or snowing I feel I should take an umbrella outside when I feed the birds!!! My little pear tree was decorated with bluetits, great tits, greenfinches, goldfinches, bullfinches and sparrows. Who needs Chrissy decorations when the birds are there and leaving white patches all over the tree that look just like snow? Laughing Laughing

My feeders are usually covered with Grackles, Redwing Black birds, Sparrows of all kinds, Doves and Starlings. But lately there have been relatively few out there.
This morning I found out why. One of the stray cats has had a litter in our backyard and two of the kittens and the Mom have taken up residence out back.
