First of all... I want to be a better friend and person. Be proud of what I have and not fret over what I don't have or won't have.
Learn more... about life, help those that I can (in whatever way),exercise more, take a computer class and oh yes learn more about gardening from all the wonderful people here!
I want and need to get out of some 'ruts' I am in. Not be so lazy and stagnant, learn how to live again (the past twelve years since my DH passed have been hell) because life is too short and I don't want to miss any more of it.
So a happy and prosperous New Year to everyone at the Stew

I hope you attain each and every one of your goals, and more, Kuntrygal. Let me be the first to wish you a very happy 2008 and may it be the beginning of a whole new life for you.

I barely decided on my goals for 2007 and 2008 is already here I do believe goal-setting is an important habit to get into so among the many things I'd like to accomplish next year are:
------
- Become fluent in Swedish (that was a goal for 2007, I made some good progress but not enough)
- Add more and more features to GardenStew. I have the big one for 2008 about 40-50% complete and hope to release it in February-March. It will be the most useful feature yet.
- Start getting up earlier. One of the advantages/disadvantages of being self-employed is that you can get as much sleep as you want. The novelty has definitely worn off now though so from the start of January I will start a 30-day experiment of fixed sleeping hours. Hopefully that will cement the habit.
------
I wish everyone the very best of luck achieving their 2008 goals. Don't feel too bad if some slip by here and there, remember the adventure is in the journey.
I'll leave the final word to Douglas Adams:

I think I just fell in love with Douglas Adams.
I wish you luck on your personal goals, kuntrygal! They seem very worthy and maybe not too hard to reach. And you too, Frank.
I never make new year promises, it just adds to my bad conscience, which is big enough already.

I really wish you all success in those Gal, those are important ones.
I want to relearn how to use Grandma's sewing machine so I need to find little projects that would make the relearning worthwhile, likewise my too-dusty spinning wheel, and reteach myself how to crochet. I haven't done much of either since my big-bad stroke in '99.
O, and finish getting my old 49 Ford running predictably well.
And get better about taking photos & posting them. And not grumping about setbacks so much. And not whining about circumstances so much. And on and on...

Kuntrygal, it's so enticing to stay in the same rut and not put yourself out there. You can do it. As for me I hope to be more creative in the new year, get more DONE!! Lose ten pounds and of course be a better person. I'll be happy with even one of those things.

I'm anxious too Kuntrygal! Can you give us a wee hint Frank?
