He seems to be avoiding it these days because i bought some special cat grass which he munches on.

My cats love their grass. Cat grass is usually rye or wheatgrass, i forget which. I've also grown regular grass seed you'd use for the lawn. They love it. My cat Skinny will chew on anything green thought. He's even chewed the srtificial christmas tree needles!
