Well - it certainly looks like one anyway doesn't it? This is an ornamental copper ball I have in the garden, covered in frost and with a sprig of holly to complete the Chrissy pudding look. Very Happy

This is a shot of our Christmas tree which has, finally, been put up.

Finally, one of the placemats and one of the coasters I've made to decorate the Christmas table. Each one has snowflakes on it ans is completely different from the rest as no two snowflakes are said to be exactly the same.

Eileen, love your pictures. The tree is a beauty and the place mat is a work of art. How do you find the time to do all that you do? I know your Christmas table will be lovely. Merry Christmas

It's really easy to make the placemats and coasters Kuntrygal.

Take a sheet of A4 card (any colour) buy some stick- on snowflakes and then position them anywhere you want to on the top side of the card. They look fine this way but I took it a step further and laminted each one so that they are waterproof and wipe clean.
The whole process actually only takes about ten minutes to make a set of four mats and four coasters.

I'm going to make up everyday ones after the holidays that will be a bit more elaborate and take more time but I thought these would save me money as they only cost me about £1(50 cents) for all eight pieces) and they can be used again in years to come.

What a fantastic idea! Your tree is so perfect, that shot looks like something right out of a magazine.
Don't think I want a bit of the puddin, though, might be a tad dry for my liking, though perhaps a bit of hard sauce... no, maybe not Wink

wow!! you sure are in the christmas festive mood there. everything looks great eileen, an i love the idea of the placemats. the lamination of them. thats one thing i dread every yr is having to wash each one with all the run over stains on them, an trying to scrub them out. (cloth placemats that is)

Love your ball and tree! The placemats are so nice. The girls made something similar at school and we always bring them out for Christmas. Very time-saving when it comes to clearing up after meals, and decorative too.
