KG, I haven't gotten my High Country catalog yet. But since yours came yesterday mine should come soon.

When I look thru the catalogs or on websites, I look for plants that I know will not be available locally. So many of the local garden centers get their plants from the same growers so they all basically carry the same plants.
There are a couple of real nurseries in my area, ones where they actually grow their own stock, so their selections are more varied and interesting.

As for potting soil, I have bought it both from Dollar General, Lowes and Home Depot. Pretty much the cheaper brands and haven't had any problems with any of it so far.

I got it,, I got it!!!! My Impecta Handel Seed Catalog has finally arrived,,, i hugged it, i opened the package carefully,, then i read every page, as best i could since its in swedish. Its now night here, an i have abused its poor pages the best i could,, i have highlighted it, folded corners down, black inked it, an black markered it over the pen markings, i have cooked an splattered food on it,, water ended up on it also,,, yes its well loved. But its the only one i have, an that was all in one day.

WOW, Biita, sounds like you are in love with it . I, like you, have marked my catalog, and have 'dog-eared' pages. It's almost like Christmas all over Wink
