Well the first day is for families and kids, but the secong one is for visiting loved ones and the gathering of large family groups. We all got together over at my partner's older sisters's house for what we call here "Gourmeting".
It's where people sit around a large table and everyone has their own little burner and skillet. There is a large selection of especially cut pieces of meat, veggies, salads, sauces etc. and you cook whatever you can dream-up...anything from pancakes to cordon bleu to cheeseburgers. There was a wonderful ice cream dessert (Tiramisu).

Well there's not much left in the 'after' shot so I take it everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meal!!

Looks like a great feast Sjoerd. That reminds me of when I was a young girl - we used to have Fondue on New Years Eve. We would also have lots of cut up pieces of meat, veggies, cheese, sauces etc. It is one of my fond childhood memories.

What a fun tradition and it does look like everyone left the table full and happy.
Too many clutzes in my family to let everyone cook their own food at the table I'm afraid.

That looks like a wonderful tradition, an sharing with family an friends is the way to do it. Looks like everyone is enjoying themselves. With a cleaned table like that who is the one who had to get wheeled away from the table....lol.
