O I could hug you all! The prospect of not being able to really garden for several months had me pretty glum, but I've snitched all your wonderful photos to do a series of watercolors

I, myself, like butterflies better than bees, but both are pretty nice. I can never manage to get a butterfly to sit still for a picture. dooley

What a wonderful way to start the morning, flowers and bees! Thank you for posting your lovely photos.

I think I have a bee-photo somewhere.

And a butterfly:

What nice foto's Droopy. I an so green that I'm purple that you have beautiful butterflies like that up there! It is an absolute beauty. I didn't realize that such beauties existed that far north. And what is that blue flower that the bee is sitting on?

Come on now Netty, get your butterflies in here too. We need to help each other out with the beauty and feeling of spring and summer. I am curoius what sorts you get where you live.

OK Sjoerd, you talked me into it!

This summer I've have to try to get pictures of not just blooms, but the bees and butterflies that visit them.

Thanks for the Monarch fotos, Netty. They are pretty, aren't they?
Please do try and get some insecta along with flowers. It can be so interesting.
You know, the Monarch is such a favourite subject, but no one takes fotos of the Viceroy which actually I find prettier.
Have you ever travelled to Mexico in the fall to see all the migrated Monarchs in Michoacan?

No Sjoerd I haven't, but I'm sure it would be quite a sight to see! I noticed when ours started to migrate and there were thousands of them.
