I keep a record every year when the Orioles arrive. I check the date and make sure I put some grape jelly or nectar out so they can eat as soon as they visit here. Last year they arrived on a little later because the weather was a little cooler...I think they are such a beautiful bird and I look forward to the time when they visit my feeders. You never know how long they will stay but I have been quite fortunate to have them stay a couple months. Here are some of the pictures I have taken through the years...The male is so much darker than the female Oriole.

They are so lovely! Just look at that beautiful yellow and orange. He does look comfy on that roof. Smile

We're lucky enough to have them in our neck of the woods too. They never stay too long after they have their babies, but we sure enjoy them while they're here.

I can only see the last three pictures I'm afraid but they are really stunning. What beautiful birds to have visiting your garden. Thanks for letting us see them. Stew Face 1

Orioles are so pretty. I like the one sitting on the roof. How did you get that close w/o him flying away? Thanks for sharing.

The Oriole was not scared of me at all. He was resting and after a while he just ate and flew off to a neighbors. I have many pictures of him while he was resting.

Kuntrygal...I have a small Kodak Easyshare LS753. It is only a 5 megapixel and I have been doing some checking up on them for a new one. I love this one because I have rechargeable batteries in it and I put it on the dock to put the pictures on the computer and it charges the batteries.

Oh Sherry, they are just beautiful . . . the photos and, of course, the birds. Very Happy

I've never seen an Oriole in this part of the country,
and I really do miss seeing them,
thank you for sharing your lovely visitors.
