I re-use it but add compost to it first.

But sometimes I throw it into a flower bed and mix it into the soil.

Hi all. I like the idea of composting the old soil, but I am curious, what if you mixed compost into the old soil to give it new nutrient value? Would the soil still be low on minerals?
