Heh heh heh... it has a certain charming lean to it, doesn´t it. I can´t see with all the snow...but there could possibly be a chance of renewal.--or not?
Well thanks for the fotos... the snow looks great.
Have a nice hike, Biita.

40 yeqrs ago!! Gôh!...That qualifies as a national treasure, doesn´t it? Smile
WEll, yes,. I guess if it´s wood, then it has reached the end of the line. Saving the glass was a good idea for the future, though.

Just think of all the plants started in that greenhouse. Was Mom happy to have a greenhouse or did her sons just think she needed one?

Hope you had a good hike, the snow is beautiful.

Ahem, I actually think you need a new one. Considering your husband's occupation I wouldn't mention anything like "national treasure" in his vicinity. I'm actually amazed at it still standing.

Toni from the stories i have heard she was in it everyday. love it! all the flowers an bulbs, planted on this farm is from her. She an Kalle,(both are passed on now) used to work in there together. Kalle is the other brother an he loved to garden. So between the veggie fields an the flower gardens he was quite busy.

droopy when Kolbjørn builds my greenhouse i am going to have to either stand there an supervise or help an nag him. I can see it now, if i let him go an do his own thing i'll have one of 2 buildings, a Viking longhouse or a Stave Kirke. (shaking my head here) I can see me now, entering the greenhouse with a dragon head over the door...lol. (Viking dragon heads are actually horse heads, they were held in honor an reviered)

If he wants to put a carved ornament on the green house roof, by all means let him! Added interest for your summer guests, and then Kolbjørn can tell them everything about it. Come to think of it, I would actually like one on top of mine, if I ever get one. Laughing

i love to go walking in the snow, and as soon as my ski's get a good waxing goin, i'll be skiing instead of walking.

geeez, i was wanting some pretty flowers or vine work burned into the new wood. but actually, if i know him it will be Thor's serpent vining its way around the door. maybe the serpent can stop an smell a flower or two, i can live with that. the dragon head don't bother me at all, and it would make a great story for the guest. Ohhh he would be in his glory to relate all the tales of this land for them,,,lol.

the more i think on it,, the more i might just let him do something like that. (i'll get a greenhouse in record time then)

Laughing It sounds as if you've found the perfect way to cajole him into getting started, Biita. Well done!
