Hello guys,

I would like to know if it's OK to cut/prune two young plants:

1. a plumeria. I have grown it from seed, it's now about 1 m tall but just one stem, no ramifications. Probably 1,5 - 2 years old.
I'd like to know if I should cut the top in order to make it grow branches.

2. a jatropha pogadrica. about 15-20 cm tall, but it doesn't look like in some pictures, a very far stem. The stem is somewhat fat but always growing upwards. It doesn't have any ramifications. Right now, no leaves at all cause it's winter. I would like to know if jatropha podagrica can be pruned and if it does shoot branches.

THANKS,

CALIN

Took me a while but I found this about your Budda Belly Plant:
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.euphorbia.de/j_podagrica.htm&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3DPruning%2Bjatropha%2Bpodagrica%26start%3D30%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DN%26pwst%3D1
it can be pruned according to this link.

Here is a link for Plumerias:

Hello Trudy,

Thanks. I will do some pruning in a month, when spring is here.
