On a still, cold, morning the smoke from the fire place rises and drifts to the side, and stays below the tree tops. Enjoy the view.

That's so cool. I read about farmers making very smoky fires around their fields at a certain time of autumn to prevent the crops from freezing.

Lovely pictures Tom
I am glad that it is just smoke from fireplaces. Here be us we has a few wild fires that was started by arsonists.

Fire is good for fynbos (Cape Town is in the fynbos biome) but only when plants are in their veteran stage and not pioneer stage. And I am afraid that me might lose some beautiful plants due to the untimely fires.

The smoke in the pictures looks almost like a fog rolling over the lake. Very dreamy
