I found the prettiest house plant yesterday but Ive never heard of it before. It doesnt flower, I dont think. The leaves are a dark green and where the light touches it, its this deep purple. Its covered in what looks like purple hair!

I cut it back when I got home so repot, it was so root bound. I took the cutting and seeing if I can grow one from that.

Anyone ever heard of this plant and if so, can it be grown from the cuttings or am I wasting my time?

Well, I have been wracking my brains and finally found the only purple haired plant that I could think of. Purple Velvet Gynura aurantiaca .

Hey thats it! Thank you! It does flower too. Well, its alot prettier than that pic shows so Im hoping the yellow flowers on the purple will be nice.

And the cutting did take root and in less than a week!
