Got back home late yesterday afternoon tired of sitting in the car and so sore from sleeping on a hotel bed, they are never as comfy as our waterbed.

No windows this time. We found some but not very many plus they were not in sizes we could use and too expensive now anyway. So on the drive home we discussed how Randy can build the cabinet with glass doors that look like windows.

Also, no pictures of my hometown to share. It was cold, a little rainy and very windy and the camera apparently doesn't like cold weather and kept 'freezing' up....at least we hope that is the only problem. I will find out this morning when I attempt to take pictures of the junque that I did buy.

We did get some pictures for Lisa of the house where her paternal grandparents lived before she was born. Randy also found a fire ant bed in the process, got them off his shoes, socks and pant legs without having to disrobe on that small country road.

Amanda called us Sunday morning to say that the alarm on Randy's pickup had been going off for at least 30 minutes with no end in sight. He had to call a friend of his to come over and cut the wires to shut it up.
We also noticed little wisps of smoke coming from under the hood of the car yesterday morning, seems the small leak in the radiator found when we had the timing belt replaced last month is now a larger leak. He put some sealer stuff on/in it last night hoping for a quick fix to give us some time before we have to replace the radiator.

We did have a really good time. Small town with lots of memories, very little traffic, we have a good time just talking about stuff and had plenty of time for that.
Away from the everyday life, then wham we were back in the big city just in time for going home traffic. I sure envy those of you who live in a small town or the country.

Looking forward to the junque photos Toni. Welcome back, it sounds like you had a pleasant weekend (minus the traffic of course).

Great to have you back Toni and I'm also looking forward to your junque piccies with anticipation.

My camera doesn't like cold weather either or high winds so hopefully there is nothing else wrong with yours.

I'd hate to live back in a city again. Even visiting Edinburgh can give me a headache what with all the noise, fumes and crowds. I guess living in our little village has spoilt me over the years.

Welcome back home. I'm sorry, I must have missed the post of you going on a trip.Where did you go? Yeah... small towns are nice. That's one reason, I haven't been to Dallas in 16 months. Rolling Eyes I would love to see all the changes and of course my daughter (she has been here 4 times). I just don't know if I could handle 635,190,121,etc. Love my small town. Wink

I am just glad you had a great time and that you are back.
There is something about small towns that also attracts me. I live in the city and it is painful to the ear more often than not.
