I hope they are just on their way somewhere else. That many birds could eat a lot of you little plants. But, if they just eat bugs keep them around. dooley

I like to watch large flocks of birds fly. Do these birds make patterns like starlings whilst in the air?
Thanks for these fotos.

Hopefully they were just settling in for the night to rest before moving on Glenda. They do make quite a magnificent sight though when they arrive in great numbers.

Lovely flock, Glendann! I like to watch the birds when they gather like that. We don't often get to see it, and I think it's fun. Smile

That's a small gathering, there are some major street intersections around here where the trees, store rooftops and signs are covered with them every night.Shocked

That looks like the gathering in my back yard every day, first they land in the trees then drop to the bird feeders. Wink

Wow Glenda, that's a lot of birds! We get huge flocks of Starlings in the fall. They are very noisy but interesting to watch.

One summer I had a huge flock of Blue Jays in our woods and the noise was so loud but ever so interesting...I do miss so many of the country sites I used to have.
