I am really feeling the absence of colour in my flower garden at the moment, so I'm pulling-out some fotos from a couple of years ago to remind me how beautiful tulips can truly be.
These are fotos taken in a big flower park here in Holland.
Every time I visit this park, I sort of just walk around sort of in a daze, with my eyeballs drying-out on my chest.
I some use these on my desktop from time to time.

Wow, what a gorgeous display. I can understand why you miss them this time of the year.

Beautiful tulips, Sjoerd! I love them, but they do not do well in West Texas. I was told, our Winters are too warm, so they burn up a lot of energy, thinking it's Spring and then, when it is finally Spring, there's not enough energy left to bloom. If I plant them, they'll last a season, or two, but then disappear. And the wind in Spring is so severe, it rips them up a lot of the time, so I generally don't plant tulips. Daffodils do very well here, so I plant a lot of those.

Lovely tulips! I especially liked the colour mix around that tree.

Thanks alot for your nice comments. Some tulips are such lovely things. I feel better already having seen them again.
Sorry to hear that they don't do so well in your neck 'o the woods, WTD. I expect you'd have to dig them up and save them if you wanted to keep them for many years, but that's alot of extra work.
I have dug them up as well as dahlias and the like...but now with two plots, I really do not have the time to do that anymore.
