Even though there is still snow on the ground and it's cold out, I couldn't resist hanging out my laundry today! I just love how everything smells when you bring it in! I do not use a dryer for my laundry during the warmer months and dread having to use it in winter.
There are several areas in Ontario that have a ban on outdoor clothes lines. (Can you believe that?)
Do you hang your laundry outside?

I do, as frequently as I can. It smells so much better that way. Some fancy apartment areas in Spain also have a ban on outdoor clothes lines.

Before my clothes line fell down I hung mine out in the warm months depending on what it is. Like jeans I didn't like how stiff they get so those got the dryer, sheets especially went on the line, love the smell. Glad I live in the country to!

We hang them outside winter and summer. The dryer has not been used more than 10 times, I reckon.
The laundry has a good feel and a nice smell.

Unfortunately I can't hang my clothes outside anymore. But there were many years that I did. I love the way they smell. The sheets smell just like sunshine... what ever sunshine smells like. ha-ha. I have a large deck that is screened in and in the summer I do hang my tops,and shorts on hangers on the center beam of the deck roof. No one can see them and they smell so good and clean. Just wish I could figure out how to hang the sheets!!

No, and do not appreciate looking at others, happy the restrictions to no visable laundry applies in our neighborhood, however there are a few offenders.

I no longer have a clothesline, but I used to hang clothes out when I did. My mother used her dryer sparingly when she was alive. She said white clothes tended to get dingey when they were dried in the dryer all the time.

I like hanging some clothes. sheets-yes. jeans do get stiff and towels seem to get stiff also. I try to do as much as possible in the summer so the dryer doesn't get used as much.

I have clotheslines attached to several large pine trees in our yard. Nothing beats that fresh, clean smell, and I can't wait to break out the clothespins again!

This is my kind of laundry too. Nothing beats the lovely fragrance that sheets have when hung out in the sun to dry.
I planted a Rosemary and Lavender under my washing line and many a time I cannot resist spreading the sheets over them or hanging the sheets in such a way that they have to brush over the rosemary and lavender - just so they can have that wonderful fragrance. Also great for a good nights rest.
We do not have wahing lien bans here - something for which I am very glad, and I happen to save electricity by hanging the laundry out to dry.

I haven't hung out the washing in many years, now I certainly couldn't because we have way too many birds in the backyard....I would have to rewash everything everytime I hung it out.
I remember the smell and feel of fresh from the clothes line sheets on my bed, but that is outweighed by the feel of the stiff as a board bath towels on your skin after a bath. 
I remember running outside in a surprise heavy rainstorm to grab the clothes off the line, then bringing them in to hang and lay on every available surface in hopes they would finishing drying sucessfully.
I miss it but I don't want to go back to it, I like my electric dryer

I used to hang all my bedding out on the line in the spring but now that I moved to East Texas I found that the pollen in the air turns everything yellow, not to mention I woke up the first morning I put my "clean" linens on the bed and I could hardly breathe, dang allergies. I'll try again in the summer but in Houston the humidity, and constant summer showers made it a lost cause, maybe up here I'll have better luck. I do so enjoy the fresh smell of laundry hung out to dry, and ofcourse I love that it saves me money on the electricity bill.

Where we are, it's sometimes too windy to put stuff on the line; even left low down, stuff still comes flying off and has to be chased all over.And I hate using the tumble dryer!
