|
Hi all, I was given a very sad looking African Violet by my son for mothers day 2 years ago. With a ton of TLC it has become a monster. I want to trim it down abit and also give my neighbours some lovely plants. I successfully cut off 4 healthy leaves and have managaed to root and plant them. However they are still just one leaf. Do I need to plant several in one pot? Or do they eventually produce more? They have been planted now for 3 months.
I would really appreciate your advice.

Hi suevan
Welcome to Gardenstew from southern Ontario!
Your African Violet leaves should start to produce more leaves soon

Just put one leaf in soil in each pot. You will eventually see more leaves . . . Afican violets are so fun to start and grow this way! They like the morning sun, or fluorescent light. This will help they to thrive, grow, and bloom.
