Hi there Rich and welcome to GardenStew!! Lovely to have you here with us.
Do you have a reclamation yard near you by any chance? They are a great source for items such as old cartwheels. Another thought - you could check on your computer if you have a Freecycle group in your area. There may be someone willing to give you a wheel. Lastly if you take a trip to farms round and about where you live you could possibly find a friendly farmer who would let you have/buy a cartwheel from him. Hope this helps.
Do post a photograph for us if you manage to get what you are looking for and plant it up.

Hi Eileen
Thank you for your reply and for the welcome, i have been reading through this site and have come accross some great ideas.
I took your advice and looked at reclamation yards for an old antique cartwheel, i am not very mobile so i have been searching online and i came accross a UK company who deliver. I am sure this will make a nice feature for my herb garden, I will post a picture when it arrives.

Hi richta,
Glad you were able to find the cartwheel. It sounds like a wonderful way to have a Medicine Wheel type of garden. Looking forward to seeing your pictures.
I have a replica of a wagon wheel that hopefully will become a backdrop for a feature I have been planning.

I'm also looking for an old wheel (not a huge one) and an old chair that I can cut a hole in the seat and put a planter in it. Toni, bet you find yours first!!
