I just love these trees, SOJ. I have seen many of them when I lived in Mexico. Their blooms are such a lovely tint. It's a special thing.
Thank you for showing the foto very much.

Those are lovely. We've been lucky enough to see some in Rhodes, but not a street lined with them. Enjoy your trip, please admire those trees a bit for me too. Smile

Jacarandas are simply amazing, drop-dead gorgeous trees. I used to admire them very much when we lived on Maui, they're all over the slopes of Haleakala there. If I were in a more temperate area, I'd probably have a yard full of them.

How I wish I could grow these trees here. Every time I see photographs of them I almost drool all over my keyboard. Mr. Green

wow...these are gorgeous. I've never seen anything like it before. We have lots of palm and coconut trees which I guess excited people when they think of the Caribbean but a change of scenery is cool too!

Ah - so beautiful. Never failing to amaze me with their wonderful colour.
We may not grow them here by us in the Cape, but they are plentiful in Pretoria which is also known as the Jacaranda city.
THanks for this one - I appreciate it. Stew Face 2

When I was a kid I called them "Jack O'Randalls" after having misheard my Grandma. She thought it was cute enough to never correct me, and even started using the name when we were around.

That is cute Lexxi. And so sweet of your grandma not to 'correct' you as well as using the Jack O'Randalls..
