Well it was predicted for today...and here it is. It all came down in a hurry, but now it's just spitting.
It was not exactly snowing hankerchiefsm but it was pretty heavy anyway. I'm wondering if this is going to be it, though.
Thirty minutes ago the folks below us (who are grandparents) had a mob of children over for an easteregg hunt in their small back garden.
Ha ha ha...it was pandamonium there for a few minutes. Those kids were rifling through the ivy, pots shrubs and bushes. They found lots of eggs and some chocolate bunnies and eggs too.
The proud grandparents made them put their finds in a "community basket" then when it was full, they carried it inside to divvy-up, no doubt.
Ha ha ha.. what a spectacle that was. Great.
Anyway here are a few fotos of out meagre "snow storm". Try not to laugh too hard, you northern folk.

Oh those poor Daffodil's in the first photo! Hope the snow is short lived Sjoerd.
I'm still waiting for my snow to melt so I can find my gardens!

Chuckle...Netty.
It is a very strange weather--most of the snow has melted, but it continues to snow. If this keeps up til dark---it will freeze and the roads will become very dangerous. However, my fruit trees will get a coating of ice that will protect the buds from the damaging winds.

Just like the stuff we got here Sjoerd, it was snow but not quite snow if you know what I mean. It created a slush quite quickly.

I love the pictures Sjoerd. That looks like the kind of snow fall we most often get, heavy and fast, wet flakes, melts quickly, the snow melt turns to ice that night...then the power goes out from ice on the lines.
The grandparents downstairs were probably smiling from ear to ear with all that fun.

Toni, we have all our electrical lines underground in Holland.--so the lines breaking from the weight of the ice or poles being blown-over with strong winds is not something we have to worry about.
I was amazed to note that all those phone and electrical lines are on tall poles over there. What a sight that is for me! I'm not used to that.

It looks as though it was quite windy too when you took your photographs Sjoerd. We have had the same weather over here in Scotland but now it's decided to throw hailstones down instead of snow.

That looks like truly unpleasant weather, Sjoerd. I don't like it much when we have sleet either. You might want some of the feather-light snow that's falling here?

I feel so cold suddenly.
Those poor kids in the egg hunt. I can just imagine the consternation when the snow surprised them.

We had snow on the ground for our egg hunt in town yesterday, but at least the sun was shining and temps were close to 40 degrees F. The kids didn't seem to mind, and fun was had by all!

Why didn't you tell me you wanted snow? I could of sent you tons of it at no charge! But now it is all melted. How do you feel about rain? Do you need any of that? Please?

Captain Kirk you can send some of that rain down here. I certainly need some.
Oh Kasey - that looks like fun but it is so different from Sjoerd's snow. Your snow makes me think of white cotton candy.
