Here is a chubby little House sparrow...

This Mourning Dove reminded me of an angel...

Here is a Blue Jay sitting on top of my bird pergola..

I thought this was neat...Blue Jay in flight...

This is the Blue Jay with Mourning Doves...

Great pictures Sherry. I do love that "Angel".
I must be feeding my birds too much...my Blue Jays are FAT compared to yours!!
(Is it possible to feed them too much?)

Another group of great6 bird fotos, Sherry. It's always such a pleasure to see them.
Are you able to approach them somewhat to take fotos?
Thanks much for these good pics.

Great pictures Sherry. Thanks so much for sharing. I love the birds as well, but I don't get many good pictures because as soon as I open my back door to take pics they fly off. During the warmer weather I sometimes get a few. I'm out more with my 4 year old DD and usually have the camera with me. Can't wait to see more.

Sherry, I still don't know how you manage to capture all of these wonderful pictures. Do you just sit at the window with your camera? Thanks again! Wink

Beautiful phots Sherry. I can't get the birds to sit still long enough....I miss the old 35mm camera with the telephoto lens.

Nope you really can't feed them too much. They know how much they need, unlike some of us humans who don't know when to push away from the table...we just got back from dinner at Applebees Shocked

Lovely photos. I like it when the sparrows are tweeting in the bushes, it sounds so homey and cozy.

I know what you mean there, Droopy. They are sounds that I associate with a hot summers' day. In the heat of the day in mid-summer I lie under a parasol and wait it out, sometimes droppiung off for a moment. As I lie there in sort of a 'half-sleep', I am not fully conscious but not deeply asleep either...and the two sounds that I am always aware of are propeller airplanes buzzing about high above and sparrows chilping in the bushes around the central patio. Lovely...restful.
I just had a flash-back. What a good feeling.
Thanks meid.

Thank you everyone. The pictures of the Blue Jays and the mourning doves were all taken through the glass of my kitchen window. About 100 feet away from the birds and pergola area... still pretty chilly here too.
